How To Make Seafood Pasta
Step 1: Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drained and set aside. Blend the entire can of the whole peeled tomatoes in a blender or food processor. Set aside the sauce.
Step 2: Heat up a skillet on medium heat. Add the olive oil, then add the garlic. Saute the garlic before adding the shrimp, Manila clams and scallop. Stir to combine well with the garlic, then add the tomato sauce, basil leaves.
Step 3: Cook the seafood until they are almost done, add salt (to taste) and sugar. Transfer the spaghetti into the skillet, stir to mix well with the sauce. Top with the chopped parsley, serve immediately.

Nowhere in the recipe does it mention when to use the 1 can of tomato sauce listed in the ingredients

Do you need to add sugar? What’s it for?
You can skip but adding a bit sugar completes the flavors. Trust me!
I was taught to always add sugar to cut the acidity of the tomatoes. In spaghetti, chili, etc.

Yes you can. Just use more of them.

At what point do I add the processed tomatoes?
Why put the tomatoes in a blender? Canโt you use purรฉed in a can or crushed?
Sure you can if you want to use can. I don’t want to use canned tomatoes.
I made this dish, with some alterations, for my wife and my mother; my mother has never had it. They both loved it. This is definitely a keeper!!
