A few days ago, I shared with you the skillet dinner rolls recipe, using a homemade 60 minutes bread dough recipe that my baking assistant Kendoll swears by.

Easy and healthy bread rolls with garlic and Parmesan cheese on a baking sheet.

Today, I am sharing with you this garlic Parmesan dinner rolls recipe that is even better. They’re sinfully good!

These dinner rolls use the same bread dough, with garlic-herb butter and Parmesan cheese. I personally love these rolls more as they are so dainty and pretty, tied into beautiful knots and baked to golden brown glory. Every bite is bursting with the garlicky and buttery flavors, with the cheesy nuance. I had so many of these when they were out of the oven, I didn’t even need butter, they were just amazing.

This recipe is hands down the best I have EVER tried for dinner rolls!!! They are absolutely orgasmic!!! …….So soft and fluffy, and the crust has just the right amount of โ€œcrispyness.โ€ Hours after the meal, my husband was still raving about how good they were and so was I. I didnโ€™t have quite enough milk as the recipe calls for, so I substituted reconstituted dry milk powder, and I didnโ€™t make them into knots, though…..more like a bun. Iโ€™m wondering if you or anyone else has tried making the dough into cinnamon rolls? The dough was just absolutely beautiful to work with! I have tried many of your recipes, and have had great success with them all!

iโ€™m not a bread maker & iโ€™m confused about the first step:
Is it to add the warm yeast/sugar/water mixture to the next milk/salt/butter mixture?
    1. โ€œDissolve the yeast with the sugar in warm water. Heat the milk with the sugar, salt, butter until lukewarm.โ€

    1. Rasa Malaysia says:

Yes the yeast mixture and the milk mixture are separate.

  3. Sneha says:

Hi Bee, how do I substitute dry active yeast for fresh yeast in the recipe?

    1. Rasa Malaysia says:

Hi Sneha, I am not so sure without trying it myself. The best is to follow the recipe exactly.

I have to compliment you on this amazing recipe. I followed it to the T, and I am floored. My family loved the rolls. They were super soft, and absolutely delicious. I will try with fresh yeast and let you know. I will also tag you on insta when I make it the next time :)

I just made these and they are round! They rose too much or something. They no longer look like knots BUT they look good still. I make bread very often too. Is the 4 1/2 cups if sifted flour measured and then sifted? Or do you sift it and then measure?

        1. Rasa Malaysia says:

4 1/2 cups and then sifted.

  4. Latte says:

2 for 2. First the lemon pound cake and then these dinner rolls, just lovely. My knots werenโ€™t as pretty as yours, but it was soft, buttery and best of all… garlicky!!!

    1. Rasa Malaysia says:

Awesome Suhaya, thanks for trying these garlic parmesan dinner rolls.

  6. rachel says:

Thank you for the great recipe!

I made these yesterday and they are DELICIOUS. I did have to bake them longer than the recipe states to get them nice and brown, so please note that.

Iโ€™ll definitely be trying more of these recipes.

one small drawback; the way the ingredients are listed is a bit confusing. I think labeling them more clearly would help.

  7. Donna says:

    Hi Bee
Is the amount for unsalted butter 1/4 cup only? Why do you have another 1/2 stick butter listed next to it. Are they to be added or is it an either or?

    Please clarify clearly. Thanks.

    1. Rasa Malaysia says:

      1/4 cup or half stick.

  8. Janis says:

I followed this recipe to a T and my tolls didnโ€™t brown on top. Trying a higher temp. Anyone else have this issue?

    1. Rasa Malaysia says:

That’s so strange. Please bake longer until they brown.

Hello! I use this recipe so much, and my whole family loves them so much theyโ€™re gone in just a few minutes, but turns out the company Iโ€™m with right now is allergic to bread…
Are these possible to keep overnight, and will they survive the drive home without being refrigerated?
Thank you for such an amazing recipe, itโ€™s definitely on my โ€œto recommendโ€ list!

    1. Rasa Malaysia says:

Hi Lydia, I think you can keep them overnight but warm up in the oven before serving. Thanks for trying my garlic Parmesan dinner rolls recipe.
