A few days ago, I shared with you the skillet dinner rolls recipe, using a homemade 60 minutes bread dough recipe that my baking assistant Kendoll swears by.

Easy and healthy bread rolls with garlic and Parmesan cheese on a baking sheet.

Today, I am sharing with you this garlic Parmesan dinner rolls recipe that is even better. They’re sinfully good!

These dinner rolls use the same bread dough, with garlic-herb butter and Parmesan cheese. I personally love these rolls more as they are so dainty and pretty, tied into beautiful knots and baked to golden brown glory. Every bite is bursting with the garlicky and buttery flavors, with the cheesy nuance. I had so many of these when they were out of the oven, I didn’t even need butter, they were just amazing.

These look so good. I’m a little confused on the yeast though. You said two packets but then you said 3/4 oz or 21 grams. The packets I have are 1/4 oz or 7 grams each. So should I use two or three packets to make this?

    1. Shey says:

Iโ€™m confused as to why it takes so much yeast & sugar.. Myself I have a Bread recipe that takes dry milk and 2 tablespoons yeast with 2 tablespoons sugar It seems very rich in sugar with regular milk having 12 grams of sugar then adding 5 tablespoons sugar…Iโ€™m wondering if I can use my bread recipe and just add all this to it??
I do agree with the confusion of the yeast is it instant or regular??

Yes you can but you just need to thaw then and reheat in the toaster or microwave.

Rolls are amazing. I’m glad I did half with garlic and half plain. I think there to sweet to have garlic, but that’s just me. But the plain ones would be amazing with some honey or
    Cinnamon sugar butter.

These turned out fantastic! I ended up substituting the Parmesan for Asiago. I think the lighter style cheese complimented the bread perfectly. I strongly recommend adding a pinch of sea salt on top right before baking, as to create a more profound taste.

Thanks for your suggestions, I will have to try the next time I make these garlic Parmesan dinner rolls.

Do you use instant (quick rise) or traditional yeast? Btw, I love your recipes!

    1. Rasa Malaysia says:

Hi Dee, thanks for your sweet comment. I used Fleischmann’s Active Dry Yeast packets.

These are delicious ! If you are in a hurry, buy frozen individual dinner rolls and thaw only enough to be pliable. They will still be cold. Using both hands, roll each roll about 8–9 inches and tie in a knot. Brush with melted butter and your seasonings. Cover and let rise per directions on roll packaging. Before baking them, sprinkle with grated real Parmesan cheese or grated cheddar.
