Steamed Mussels - the easiest mussels recipe ever, that takes only 20 minutes with simple ingredients. Serve with pasta for a restaurant quality dinner.
The Best Steamed Mussels
Every time I am in Paris, I would never pass up an opportunity to have my favorite steamed mussels pot, where loads of mussels are steamed with white wine, garlic, parsley, and served with French fries.
So, I went to Costco, bought a 5-lb pack of mussels and developed this easy steamed mussels recipe.
To make it into a complete meal, I just cooked some spaghetti, then ladled the mussels and sauce over it.
The end result is a restaurant quality dinner.

Lovely basic recipe–I reduced the broth after removing the mussels and we used rustic bread instead of pasta to soak up the broth. That and a big green salad was dinner last night
I think Steamed Mussels is a very good and tasty food.
Sounds easy and delicious and mussels are often very inexpensive. Make sure to look for Prince Edward Island mussels for the best result (shameless but valuable regional plug).
I agree, all the fancy restaurants use Prince Edward Island mussels. Yes mussels are inexpensive compared to clams as they are lighter so you get more for the same money! :)

Thanks Terri.
Thank you for sharing the recipe. What a wonderful meal. Simple, but yet tasteful. May I know the substitute for wine. Thanks in advance.
Just use water.
