Crispy and crunchy chocolate chip cookies.

I have to admit that I am not the biggest fan of chocolate (I know!) but I love chocolate chip cookie because it has the the benefit of not being super chocolate-y, with buttery and crunchy texture of cookies.

Chocolate chip cookies are oh-so-good when they are fresh out of the oven, with the tiny bits of chocolate chips melt in my mouth while the buttery aroma fills the house…

Hello. Just saw your page and I browse most of your recipes & would love to try some for raya. My only question is the temperature for the oven. Is your temperature for the oven stated with fan assisted? cause mine is.

I just made this and they were delicious! Buttery and crunchy without being too hard. Don’t be lazy and skip the cocoa powder though (like I did lol). I added it in my second batch and it made a huge difference in the taste! The cookies were quite bland without it.

Hello! may i ask the following qns for above recipe:
    1) what temp should the butter be used? cold or room temp?
    2) what kind of brown sugar? light or dark brown?
    3) do i have to chill the dough for the crispy and crunchy texture?

Appreciate your response and help! :)

    1. Rasa Malaysia says:

Room temperature for butter, any brown sugar you like. There is no need to chill the dough.

      You need to bake longer.

hihi, is it possible to omit the corn flour in this recipe?

  10. Jane says:

Hi Rasa Malaysia. I just made these cookies but halved the sugar level and used 200g of butter instead of 250g. The cookies turned out to be a little sandy and โ€˜looseโ€™. Is it due to the modifications I made to the recipe?? Help!!

    1. Rasa Malaysia says:

Hi Jane, for baking, try not to reduce or change quantity. Mine came out perfect just like the pictures.
