What Is Souvlaki
Souvlaki is a popular Greek food that consists of small pieces of meat and sometimes veggies on a skewer. Chicken Souvlaki is one of my favorite Greek foods ever, it reminds of chicken satay. The the reason is very simple: I just love chicken skewers on a stick, grilled to perfection, moist, juicy and flavorful.
Every skewer is perfectly charred.
They are absolutely tantalizing and mouthwatering.

Hi Bee!
I love your site! I’m so happy I found you.
Here’s my question. Can you use the Foreman grill for the chicken?? I have no access to a grill/bbq. I would really love to make these.
Hi Darlene, thanks for your comment. Yes Foreman grill should work. Happy grilling. :)
I am really enjoying your posts, I love the stories and find your recipes a refreshing change.
Just want to thank you for the wonderful recipes you have
They always turn out well
Donโt let a misguided idiot bother you
Teri
Thanks Teri!
Thanks Bee! What are your thoughts on using chicken thigh meat instead of breast? My kids are texture eaters (much to my frustration) and sometime breast meat is too dry for their tastes. :-(
Chicken thighs will be ideal and will taste even better!
April, I agree about the chicken breasts, I love the thighs too.
Just give the recipe not a story…..what a clown!! Just look for the “click here for recipe” icon if you are too lazy or time poor to read a short story behind the recipe…or better still, go elsewhere please. We love these stories and recipes!!
I thought souvlaki should have oregano in it, well that’s what I’ve grown up with. Or it this like an another take on a chicken souvlaki? :)
These look yummy Rasa! Going to try them tomorrow for the 4th. Was looking for a peanut butter satay, but these look awesome!

Hi Molly thanks for your support. Have a great 4th!! <3
Molly, I support Rasa also, some people are lazy themselves, and too damn stupid and low class, I like the stories too, and all her recipes..
Thanks Rasa, I just got some great healthy and different recipe ideas for the 4th.
I have to try this recipe! Sounds awesome!
Yes thanks Tracey.
Just give the recipe not a story
Leo, the recipe is where it says CLICK HERE FOR RECIPE, the red color bar.
Also Rasa, he can also click on “JUMP TO RECIPE”, but instead he has to shoot his mouth off. Just low class people..
You know, Leo, this is not your website, and you are getting the recipe for free, a recipe they worked on to put together so it would be delicious, and offered to us for free, so if they want to tell ten stories before the recipe that is their prerogative, you on the other hand are ungrateful and unappreciative. You need to learn some manners.
To WOW, great comment and you said it straight. He is just a stupid “LUG NUT” I BACK RASA TOO!! I was looking for a way to delete the comment, and there is no way..
We all come here for great stories and recipes. This is the appeal of RasaMalaysia and why there are so many fans who look forward to new posts and rereading old posts. If you don’t have the capacity to appreciate this, please take your negative attitude elsewhere.
P.s. You really didn’t notice the bright red colour bar for the recipe? Hmmmm….
Hi SK, thanks so much for your support. Yes, I try to write the story and commentaries about the dish. This is a food blog, not just a recipe site with a picture and recipe. Also, many people don’t understand that maintaining a website like this is very expensive. I spend thousands a month (not counting the endless hours of hard work I put on the site, developing, testing, cooking, shooting multiple times before I post on my site). Thanks again!
YOU KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK DON’T EVEN LISTEN TO NON INTELLECTUAL PEOPLE, !!!!
The stories are what make most of these recipes interesting and special. That’s what blogging is about. It brings a rich and personal dimension to the food we prepare.
RUDE! The story is all part of the recipe and I Iove to read them. Get some manners Leo and appreciate the wonderful recipes that are provided here.
Thanks Andrew for your support. :)
Leo, you are damn rude, you don’t have anything good to say then keep your mouth shut.
