freaking amazed at the questions asked! Doesn’t anyone read the comments before asking the same question asked 10 times already? Rant over…Thanks for the inspiration recipe! I no longer use cream since I found canned milk is an excellent replacement, I just need to think ahead for what I will use the rest of the can for! Hmmm. Hot cocoa for tomorrow’s ride to work! Starting to peel potatoes now!

Hi Sherri, thanks for your comment. Canned milk sounds yummy, I will have to check it out. Happy cooking this baked chicken and potato casserole.

  2. Kathy says:

Rasa, your Chicken Potato casserole looks yummy. I’m always looking for something new to take to our church monthly potlucks. I just have a question, Do you precook the chicken breast or put it into the casserole raw. Also the potatoes – any precooking. I have a potato ham casserole and I usually cook the potatoes some beforehand when I fix it as they seem to take so long to cook.
    thank you

    1. Rasa Malaysia says:

Hi Kathy, no pre-cooking, all raw and they will get cooked when in the oven.

I stumbled across this recipe while trying to get inspiration for dinner. Cut the spuds and chook and put in the dish. Went to the fridge to get cream ? it was gone. While hunting found some sour cream so replaced this in the recipe with a dash of milk to fix the consistency. OMG this is so tasty. 2/3 kids agreed (the other is such a fussy bum and I really didn’t expect him to eat it). Thanks heaps. Will definitely be going in the recipe book

This looks absolutely amazing…and I plan on trying this tonight! (Btw…yes, it might be a little on the “fatty” side, but as a woman trying to get a man on chemo to eat anything…and he said “that looks good” I don’t care about calories! And i am giving you 5stars to even out the one star person who never intended to try it)

    1. Rasa Malaysia says:

Hi Robynn, I am sorry to hear that. Thanks for your 5 stars review. I hope your guy loves the dish.

Can you add rice instead of potatoes

    1. Rasa Malaysia says:

      I wouldn’t recommend rice.

  8. Crystal | Beat Bake Eat says:

Very good. The only thing I did do different was mixing most of the cheese in with the chicken and potatoes instead of layering it. It’s a very rich dish but delicious.

    1. Rasa Malaysia says:

That’s awesome, sounds like a great idea. I am glad you tried my baked chicken and potato casserole.
