Creamy Garlic Scallops - easy, creamy and one of the best scallop recipes ever. Takes only 15 mins, better than restaurants and much cheaper!
Scallops
Scallops are my favorite seafood. I just love the tender texture and the briny sweet taste. After all the holiday feasting with a big turkey, stuffing and side dishes, I am craving scallop recipes.
This Is One Of The Best Scallop Recipes
Scallops are extremely expensive if you eat out at the restaurants, so it’s always cheaper to make them at home.
These creamy garlic scallops are very easy to prepare. The recipe calls for the following ingredients:
- Natural scallops that are milky in color, opaque and soft (not slippery) to the touch.
- Salt and ground black pepper
- Butter and olive oil to pan sear the scallops
- Garlic
- Heavy whipping cream to make the creamy and rich sauce.
The end result was so good that I gobbled everything up myself.
See the recipe card for full information on ingredients.

Iโm going to try this tonight for Christmas Eve. Iโve never had any luck when it comes to making scallops. Iโm hoping this recipe will change that. Canโt wait to try it. Oh and I bought sea scallops from Costco. I bought them frozen in a bag. They come in 2lb bags. I guess Iโll just quadruple the recipe. I hope they come out as good as the picture looks Any tips are welcome. Wish me luck and Iโll keep you posted. Merry Christmas everyone

I like many of your recipes. How can I share them with friends on Facebook?
Hi Rika – it’s very easy. There are two ways, just copy and paste the URL to your friends, or scroll down on the post, find the blue Facebook (f) button and click on it. It’s above the blue bar that says Join Rasa Malaysia Insider on Facebook.
Could I substitute white wine vinegar?
No, just skip the wine. It’s completely different.
I want to try this recipe again, but have a side of Jasmine rice to dip in the extra sauce!! I just love rice so much. Definitely must try this!! If you are allergic to seafood, this would probably be good with chicken or extra firm tofu fried first.
Sounds good, yes love this creamy garlic scallops recipe.
