Nutella Meringues - Light and sweet Nutella Meringue. Every bite is filled with thick gooey Nutella. Easy Nutella Meringue recipe that anyone can make at home.
I love meringues—sweet, airy, and feather light egg white meringues that just melt in the mouth.
I especially love meringues when there is a hidden treasure inside every of them.
The hidden treasure will not reveal itself until you take a bite of the meringues, so there is always an anticipation.
Everything tastes better with a bit of Nutella, especially meringues.
And these Nutella Meringues get an easy upgrade of Nutella, everyone’s favorite creamy hazelnut spread that makes each bite simply decadent.
My favorite part is the slight crunch you encounter just before making it to the middle.
It is the perfect contrast in texture.
These meringues are great to prepare in advance for a special occasion, festive season, or just to enjoy yourself.
It’s an amazing sweet dessert.
With minimal ingredients, this Nutella Meringues recipe is a keeper for its simple preparation and all around deliciousness.

Nutella Meringues
Ingredients
- 4 egg whites
- 1 cup (240 ml) white sugar
- 12 teaspoons (60 ml) Nutella
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 225°F (110°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
- In a stand mixer, beat the egg whites until stiff. Gradually add the white sugar while continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.
- Transfer the meringue batter to a piping bag and snip the end with a pair of scissors to create a 1/2-inch (1 cm) opening.
- Pipe a dozen 1½-inch (3.5 cm) meringue circles onto the parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring 2 inches (5 cm) of space between each. Top each meringue circle with one teaspoon of Nutella, then cover with the remaining meringue.
- Bake for 20 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 170°F (76°C) and bake for an additional 40 minutes.
- Remove the meringues from the oven and let them dry overnight.

Hello there, can i store the meringue by freezing it? because u know Malaysia, humid weather country thankyou
I think you can, just store in an airtight container.
I’m wondering if anyone knows for sure if you can freeze these. “I think you can” doesn’t quite answer the question. I’d hate to try this and have the meringues sweat while thawing and go soggy. That would be a horrible waste of time and money. Anyone got an answer?
I wouldn’t freeze any cookies as a matter of fact but of course you can, if you want. Just keep them in the air tight containers.
I had problem with my nutella. How do you make the nutella soft?
Room temperature.
Can you freeze these nutella meringues? Thanks.
I followed the recipe and it turned out ok. there are things missing on the recipe. like the egg whites should be at room temperature. and instead of baking at 225 degrees for the first 20 mins. Maybe keep it consistence at 160 degrees for 2-1/2 hours because some for nutella meringues did not cook completely. one of my friends that bakes all the time commented that maybe 6 egg whites instead of 4 because it is a little bit too sweet.
Hi Tony, this Nutella Meringue recipe is from a cookbook. I merely followed the cookbook and didn’t have any issues. Thanks for your suggestion.
Why would a recipe say to use 12 tsp. (of whatever), instead of using 1/4 cup + 1 teaspoon? …..just wondering.
That said, I’ve always had GREAT results with ALL of YOUR recipes. I’m hoping my CLOSER Costco store carries more of your cookbooks.
Hi Carol this recipe is adapted from a cookbook, so we just follow the instructions. You can get my cookbook on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Easy-Chinese-Recipes-Family-Favorites/dp/0804841470/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1313652098&sr=8-1
Having it read as 12 tsp lets you helps to know to portion each one with 1 tsp of meringue. Idk, that’s what I think at least :)
Yes, you are certainly right that everything tastes better with Nutella. These look amazing.
